Potocki Palace was built between 1685-1709 on the initiative of
Chancellor St. A. Szczuka. It was erected exactly on the spot
fifteenth-century castle Kaznowskich, according to the draft royal
architect A. Locci. Final, took on the shape of the baroque residence
but only in the eighteenth century, when it took custody of the
Lithuanian general of artillery, the Marshal of the Court of the Crown -
Eustachy Potocki and his wife Mary of Katskich. After the death of the
Potocki Palace passed from hand to hand. In 1920, Bronislaw
Korwin-Szlubowski forwarded it to the Treasury. At the end of World War
II monument destroyed by the retreating Germans. Residence was rebuilt
in the 60s of the twentieth century. Potocki Palace - a majestic,
similar to Wilanów - according to the eighteenth-century project of
architect Giovanni Fontana - perched on a horseshoe plan. On the
monument consists of a two-storey main body and connected into one whole
wing of the gate towers,
