The Karwendel is the largest range of the Northern Limestone Alps. Four chains stretch from west to east; in addition, there are a number of fringe ranges and an extensive promontory in the north. The term Karwendel describes the part of the Alps between the Isar and Inn rivers and the Achensee. Hermann von Barth created the tradition of naming the ranges after the valley limiting them in the south: Karwendel Valley, Hinterau Valley and Vomper Loch, Gleiersch Valley, Hall Valley, Inn Valley: Northern Karwendel Range, Hinterautal-Vomper Range (a.k.a. main Karwendel Range), Gleiersch-Halltal Range and Inn Valley Range (a.k.a. Solstein Range or Northern Range). Side ranges are the Erlspitz Group, Soiern Group and Vorkarwendel, Falken Group, Gamsjoch Group and Sonnjoch Group.

568. The Drentsche AA
The Drentsche Aa is a river rising in the Dutch province of Drenthe, flowing through the province of Groningen. It ends in the Schipsloot near Haren, which flows into the Noord-Willemskanaal, however originally it ended into the Selwerderdiep. The water finally ends in the Lauwersmeer and Waddenzee. In Groningen and the northernmost part of Drenthe the water is known as Drentsche Aa (sometimes Aa in Groningen), but in Drenthe it has a multitude of local names, such as Deurzerdiep, Looner Diep, Taarlosche Diep, Oudemolensche Diep, Schipborgsche Diep, and Westerdiep. A large part of the catchment of the Drentsche Aa is located in the Drentsche Aa National Landscape.
567. The Cafe Terrace on the Palce du Forum
Café Terrace at Night, also known as The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum, is a coloured oil painting executed by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh on an industrially primed canvas of size 25 (Toile de 25 figure) in Arles, France, mid-September 1888. The painting is not signed, but described and mentioned by the artist in his letters on various occasions. There is also a large pen drawing of the composition which originates from the artist's estate. Visitors of the site can still stand at the northeastern corner of the Place du Forum, where the artist set up his easel. He looked south towards the artificially lit terrace of the popular coffee house, as well as into the enforced darkness of the rue du Palais leading up to the building structure (to the left, not pictured) and, beyond this structure, the tower of a former church (now Musée Lapidaire). Towards the right, Van Gogh indicated a lighted shop as well, and some branches of the trees surrounding the place—but he omitted the remainders of the Roman monuments just beside this little shop.

559. Fagaras
The name is alleged to derive from the Romanian word for "beech" (fag). Another source of the name is alleged to derive from the Hungarian language word for "partridge" (fogor).
A more plausible explanation is that the name is given by Fogaras river
coming from the Pecheneg "Fagar šu", which means ash water. Another
source of the name is given by folk etymology to be Hungarian, as the rendering of "wood" (fa) and "money" (garas), with legends stating that money made of wood had been used to pay the peasants who built the fortress around 1310.
