National Parks - Swap

Canyonlands National Park - preserves 848 square km of colorful sandstone canyons, mesas, buttes, fins, arches and spires in the heart of the Colorado Plateau in Southeastern Utah. Water and gravity have been the prime architects of this land, craving flat layers of sedimentry rock into the landscape seen today. The Park was established in 1964. The park was expanded to its size in 1971.
Yosemite National Park embraces almost 1930 square km of scenic wild lands set aside in 1890 to preserve a portion of the central Sierra Nevada that streches along California's eastern flank. The park ranges from 670 m. above sea level to more than 4300m. and has these major attractions; alpine wilderness, three groves od Giant Sequoias and the glacially carved Yosemite Valley with impressive waterfalls, cliffs and unusual rock formations
